WOODWORK: LITURGICAL ARTS AND CRAFTS
ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN: CRAM & FERGUSON ARCHITECTS
Liturgical Arts and Crafts Colombia is a woodwork studio and carpentry contractor founded in 2020, located in Giron, Santander, Colombia. We have worked with Cram and Ferguson Architects on various projects throughout different states in the United States, including renovations and new constructions for the Catholic, Episcopal, and Presbyterian churches. We make fine carpentry, custom woodwork and ship it to different parts of the world by air, sea and land.
Our unwavering commitment is to enhance the architectural value of traditional handwork and techniques, based on the design/ideas of an architect, designer, and/or final client. We have successfully worked on various project scales and teamed up with architects, contractors, and woodwork enthusiasts with different needs, ideas, and budgets.
Our team includes multiple disciplines, such as administrative staff, architects, carpenters, carvers, lathe turners, sanders, painters, and many other advisors or partners from various backgrounds: freight forwarders, customs agents, and law and accounting consultants.
An architect leads the company, overseeing the design and planning phases of our projects. This leadership allows a large team of artists to participate in different projects, combining the architect’s professional services and the artists’ skills. Our team of artists is currently working on a series of collectible items made with the same passion and handcraft value.
We create computer-assisted shop drawings and models based on the drawings and designs provided by the architect, artist, or project designer. This allows us to give the craftspeople comprehensive 2D & 3D information while effectively communicating with all involved parties, including contractors, project managers, representatives, and the owner. We can work with imperial and metric measuring systems to meet your needs. Bilingual communication (Spanish/English) is always available, and all drawings and deliverables are submitted according to the project’s requirements.
We simulate the assembly, installation, and packaging processes before staining and finishing the pieces. Using specialized equipment, such as cranes and lifts, enables us to perform and test complex maneuvers. This is all coordinated with the project managers and architectural designers. The pieces are labeled and marked in English to guide the installers or local carpentry team upon delivery to the job site.
Depending on the client’s needs, our products can be shipped by sea, land, or air. We take pride in our commitment to quality and safety, ensuring that all our work is ISPM 15 compliant (heat-treated woods) and according to international shipping basic requirements. Additionally, we collaborate with a freight forwarder and customs agent to manage customs and delivery logistics, providing a secure and reliable service.
